Location
The Northern Gold Coast region
encompassing Labrador, Parkwood, Arundel, Biggera Waters, Runaway Bay,
Hollywell, Coombabah, Paradise Point, Helensvale, Gaven, Monterey Keys,
Hope Island, Sanctuary Cove, Oxenford and Coomera - is just superb and
is ideally located south of Brisbane and north of Surfers Paradise with
easy commuter access to both.
Population
Currently the
seventh largest city in Australia, the Gold Coast has a population of
more than 380,000 people which swells by on average 100,000 visitors on any
one day. The growth rate is approximately 6% per annum.
Climate
Perhaps one
of the best climates on Earth! With an average of 287 days of sunshine
each year, this subtropical climate is perfect for just about everyone.
Average Summer temperatures is between 19-29 degrees Celsius (66-83 degrees
Fahrenheit), and Winter between 9-21 degrees Celsius (48-69 degrees Fahrenheit).
Transport
The Gold Coast is linked
to Brisbane by rail. Two stations with ample parking are conveniently
located at both Coomera and Helensvale for commuting Northern residents.
Local transport includes a well routed bus service and a large taxi fleet.
The Pacific Highway which connects the Gold Coast to Brisbane and the
Tweed Heads area, is currently being upgraded.
